RMC CP-64 is an EPA-approved disinfectant. This cleaner disinfectant is designed and made by the Rochester Midland Corporation that was established in 1888. This is a hospital type cleaner disinfectant with a fresh lemon fragrance. It has many approved uses and is recommended for hospitals, nursing homes, commercial and industrial institutions, colleges, schools, and veterinary clinics. RMC CP-64 can also be used in gyms, athletic facilities, locker rooms, churches, exercise rooms, and anywhere else where sanitization is of importance. The CDC has recommended that areas be thoroughly and regularly sanitized and disinfected to stop the spread of disease.
This cleaner disinfectant is designed to not only disinfect and clean but also deodorize. It is best for non-porous surfaces like stainless steel surfaces, glazed porcelain, floors, walls, plastic, and other hard surfaces. When used as directed it is virucidal and can kill up to 99.9 percent of germs and pathogens including HIV (AIDS). It has also been approved by the EPA to kill coronavirus. Plus, the hard surface disinfecting will reduce the hazards of cross-contamination.
Features and Benefits of RMC CP64:
- Cleans and Disinfects
- Has a fresh lemon fragrance
- Can be used on many hard surfaces
- Can be used with mechanical sprayers
- One-step solution
The RMP CP-64 is a one-step solution with an elevated pH to effectively clean a variety of areas and surfaces. It can be used in a spray bottle or a separate mechanical cleaner. The concentrated formula is effective against pathogens and on multiple hard surfaces. The user needs two (2) ounces of concentrate for every gallon of water, meaning that a little bit of the cleaner goes a long way. This is, in part, why it is ideal for large facilities like hospitals, schools, gyms, and industrial spaces. This stuff is the real deal. It has Limonene in it to leave a natural, clean smell when disinfecting is completed. It won’t leave harsh odors or a chemical smell when done.
There are many ways to use this disinfectant cleaner. Here is a breakdown of just some of the ways this cleaner can be used.
A One-Step Disinfectant Cleaner: First, you will want to pre-clean any heavily soiled or stained areas. Use two (2) ounces of concentrate per gallon of water and apply with a sponge, spray bottle, mechanical spray device, mop, coarse pump, auto scrubber, brush, or even by immersion. When you spray, be sure to spray six (6) to eight (8) inches away and do not breathe in the spray. Leave the treated surfaces wet for ten (10) minutes. Then dry with a clean, lint-free cloth or leave to air dry. Floors that are treated do not need to be rinsed unless they are going to be polished or waxed.
For Non-Food Contact Sanitizing: Prepare the solution using two (2) ounces of concentrate for every gallon of water. Apply the solution to hard non-porous surfaces using your preferred method. If you are spraying, make sure to spray six (6) to eight (8) inches away and do not breathe in the spray. The treated surface must remain wet for one minute. Let air dry or wipe.
To Control Mold/Mildew: This disinfectant cleaner can be used to control the growth of mold and mildew. Prepare as normal with two (2) ounces of concentrate for every gallon of water. Apply to the affected area as preferred and then leave for ten (10) minutes. Let air dry or wipe down with a dry cloth.
Non-Acid Toilet Bowl and Urinal Disinfectant/Cleaning: First, remove heavy soil. Next, from the concentrate itself add two (2) ounces of product directly into a urinal or toilet bowl and mix. Brush the exposed surfaces thoroughly using a toilet brush and be sure to get under the rim. You can also use a cloth or sponge. Let the solution sit for ten (10) minutes.
For Toilets From a Use Solution: Empty all of the water from the toilet bowl or urinal. Then apply 0.5 to 1 oz. of the solution to exposed surfaces. This includes under the rim. Use a toilet brush, cloth, or sponge, coarse pump, or trigger spray device. For spray applications, spray six (6) to eight (8) inches from the surface. Do not breathe spray. Brush or swab thoroughly, then allow the solution to stand for 10 minutes and flush.
For Heavy-Duty Cleaning of Toilet Bowls and Urinals: Be sure to clean the heavily soiled areas first. Then empty the toilet bowl or urinal. Using a brush, mechanical spray device, cloth, or sponge be apply four (4) ounces of the product to any of the exposed surfaces. This includes under the rim. Let the concentrate soak to help with soil removal and let the solution stand for ten (10) minutes and then flush. Remember if the spray method is used to spray from six (6) to eight (8) inches away and not to breathe the spray in.
To Use as a Floor Cleaner: Follow the two (2) to four (4) ounces per gallon mix to keep the floor from having too much shine. Apply with a mop or automatic cleaner and allow to air dry.
For Use as a Deoderizer: Mix four (4) ounces of the disinfectant cleaner with one gallon of water. Apply to hard nonporous surfaces and then allow to air dry or pull up the excess with a dry towel.
